APPLICATION OF HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM FOR THE REUSE OF WASTE PAPER

ABSTRACT
Waste treatment using an elevated pressure has been limited to utilize for the industrial applica¬tions for the waste-recycling. This paper focuses to produce an energy source like glucose through reusing the waste paper in the pressure system. Experimental results showed that the hydrolysis of waste paper by enzyme was accelerated as emulsifying the waste paper under the high pressure. The interesting result was that P-glucosidase under high pressure of 2,000 psi raised the rate of enzymatic hydrolysis by more than 30% with elevated temperature of 37'C as compared to the production studied at the conditions of 28"C and atmospheric pressure. This finding is to show the possibilities that experimental results can re-utilize waste paper as an energy source for the more glucose production.
